You will need to register a username and password on the site, then purchase an event pass via the “Events” tab.

Will my login details stay the same for every match?

Yes. Your details will remain the same throughout the season and CANNOT be changed, so make sure you keep them safe and private.

Can I share my login details?

If you sign into an additional device while logged in on another, you will automatically be logged out of the first device. Likewise, if you share your details and someone tries to login at the same time as you, it will end your Live Broadcast.

IF YOU WANT TO WATCH THE MATCH UNINTERRUPTED, PLEASE KEEP YOUR PASSWORD SAFE AND DO NOT SHARE THESE DETAILS AS IT WILL AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO VIEW THE MATCHES.

What devices will this work on?

Desktop computers & laptops: You can watch the Live Broadcast on an up-to-date desktop or laptop computer (PC or Mac). You must make sure your browser is up to date and has JavaScript enabled too (most browsers update automatically). Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Firefox are recommended although other browsers may work but are unsupported.

If you are having issues with your stream, it is always advisable to try an alternative browser first.

If you have an older computer or laptop try Links 3 for a better-quality stream as these tend to be more compatible with older devices.

Apple iPads and iPhones: You must have iOS 11.3 or higher installed and you must use Safari or Google Chrome to watch the Live Broadcast on Apple devices.

Link 1 & Link 2 work well for IOS devices & you can use these for Airplay to TVs which support Airplay. Streaming from an Apple device to an Android TV can be difficult.

Android devices: The Live Broadcast also works on most modern and up to date Android devices, including tablets, smartphones and most Smart TVs.

If you have an older Android device, then try all 3 Links until you find a player which works best for your set up.

Can I watch on my Smart TV?

If you are trying to watch the broadcast directly through the browser on your Smart TV, we cannot guarantee this will work. There are so many variations on the market with different browsers and firmware that one TV by a manufacturer may be different from another TV by the same manufacturer. If you can download Google Chrome on your Smart TV it should help. But, again, this is no guarantee.

Can I watch it on a TV Channel?

No. The Live Broadcast will NOT BE available through any Freeview, cable or satellite TV channel in the UK or any other country.

Do I need a SKY subscription to watch the Live Broadcast?

No. The Celtic Live Broadcast is not available through SKY.

Can I screen share / cast the Live Broadcast to my Smart TV?

Yes. You should be able to screenshare the Live Broadcast to compatible Smart TVs using an app such as Chromecast or Apple Airplay.

Android devices to android TVs seem to be working well and Links 1 & 2 work well for this.

Apple / IOS devices work via Air Play with Apple TVs, Apple / IOS devices to Android TVs seem to be causing some issues. We would recommend using a cabled HDMI solution for this to ensure the stream works for you or staying on your IOS device.

As an alternative, laptops & MacBooks offer casting options too and people are reporting success through Firesticks using the browser Amazon Silk.

Chromecast

Chromecast should work with one of the links if you are connecting from an Android device to your Chromecast device. From testing, Link 1 & 2 should display the Chromecast icon on the player if your Android device is on the same network as your Chromecast.

Apple have disabled their iOS devices from directly working with Chromecast through the web and you will have to download an App from their App store. There are many to choose from and we cannot recommend any one in particular but we have tested a few with success. Pease be aware some of these Apps have ads running within them and these are not coming from our site and we in no way endorse any or all of these products.

Again, for Apple/IOS devices, if you want to connect to your TV please also consider an HDMI cable.

Which devices are NOT supported?

We do not support gaming consoles, including X-Box and PlayStation. Some fans have found success using their gaming consoles, but we do not support these devices and cannot guarantee they will work.

Can I watch the Live Broadcast if my internet connection is slow? (Buffering)

The quality of the Live Broadcast stream will be dependent on the bandwidth and speed of your internet connection. For the best possible experience, we recommend using an internet speed of at least 5Mbps (please check with your internet provider).

It can help to close other tabs, browsers, and programs while streaming your content. It may also help to hardwire your internet connection, instead of using a wireless network connection. What do I do if I am having problems with my Live Broadcast Stream on a matchday? Our support team will be in place on a matchday to help with any enquiries. Please use the 'Contact us' button located on the platform to request further assistance.

What if the quality drops or not as good as the test games?

The quality of the streaming will be dependent on the performance of your device and the available bandwidth from your ISP and also within your home. If you have other members within your household downloading from other streaming service similar to Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube or music platforms concurrently this could degrade your quality.

Streaming live events is completely different from video OnDemand services (like Netflix) that you may have used. Video OnDemand services rely on predicting and downloading the next few seconds for you to watch (usually between 10-30 seconds in advance) as you can appreciate Live streaming cannot send you this video as it hasn’t happened yet. Living streaming will sacrifice quality for consistency of the stream and this may look like buffering or a drop in quality.

So what else can you try to help with buffering or picture quality?

Try all the different players available. There are 3 different video players named Links 1 to 3.

All of our video links offer adaptive streaming which means it will always try to give you the highest quality. Sometimes this may not be best options for your device, internet provider or home network so we recommend trying them all.

If you want to choose the exact bit rate (streaming speed) of your delivery use Links 1 & 2 which offer you that option.

While on Link 1 or 2 if you go down to the bottom of the video player you will see a small cog and within this cog you can change from auto quality to fixed. Depending on what you choose you may notice a drop-in quality but it can provide a steadier stream with less buffering.

Links 3 works well with older devices or set-ups. These streams are lighter (less complex) and can work well with older devices. These streams are slower to load – please allow 1 to 2 minutes for them to settle however once they do the quality is good and the consistency is excellent.

Why do I have a white screen?

This tends to be a browser issues, log out, close the browser completely and try and alternative browser. We suggest Google Chrome as it tends to be easy to use.

If this is a Smart TV issue, your TV may not be compatible, try a different browser, if possible, within your TV and if not consider an alternative device.

How can I make sure my device/connection is adequate for streaming?

Some corporate networks, firewalls and ad-blocking software may prevent the Live Broadcast from displaying. Please check with your Network Administrator.

Disable any ad-blocking software and you may need to configure your anti-virus software.

You must be using a browser that has JavaScript enabled (most have this as a default).

Can I use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or proxies to stream the Live Broadcast?

No. Please ensure that you are not using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or proxies as this can cause the Live Broadcast stream to not function.

If I miss kick-off can I login at any point after the game has started?

Yes. You can login at any point after the game has started, however as the game is live, you can only watch from the time you have logged in and will not be able to rewind to the start of the game.

Will I be able to watch a replay of the match after the final whistle?

No, PPV is as live only.

I am seeing a message informing me that I cannot purchase a stream from England – I am not in England?

On a Saturday between the hours of 1445 and 1715, we cannot stream live matches to anyone in England. Unfortunately, you may have an IP address that runs through a server based in England and this is why you are receiving this message.

Is there anything I can do to watch the match as I am not based in England?

The system will detect that you have an English IP address but you will be able to continue if you are not located in that region. However, if your payment card is registered to an English address, your payment will be declined.
